Commercial QS Manager

Description

We are actively seeking to recruit a Commercial Manager QS to join our dynamic client based in Camberley.  The client are a major direct contractor who have long term framework agreements.  Primarily working in the refurbishment and maintenance environments of construction.

The ideal individual will be very commercially mined have a background in construction commercial business coming from or still a very enthusiastic QS.

The role

• The production and compilation of tender responses for public and private sector clients. Including pricing and quality elements of the response. 
• Engage with existing and new supply chain partners to obtain pricing and quality information in support of tender bids. 
• Assist in the development of the procurement programme and carrying out subcontractor
• procurement 
• ·Understand the Health& Safety requirements of tenders and contracts
• ·Be responsible fort he accurate production of estimates in accordance with the client’s
• requirements and best practice.
• ·Check contract/tender documentation and eliminate areas of risk.
• ·Assist the Branch in developing specific method statements.
• ·Understand the cost base and production levels to secure work for the Branch.
• ·Develop and maintain several specialist subcontract and supplier contacts, sufficient to avoid reliance on any one company.
• Assist in the generation and control of project budgets.   
• Contribute to the branch office operation commercially
